It's tough for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if never given the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy getting a chance to produce her newest gem.

Initially recognized as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 World Cup win came three months after her debut and seven world titles have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The gritty keeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India briefly halted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy stated recently.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

If this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Some will argue the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was considerably tougher to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this performance followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in training, it was a frustrating experience because it appeared I've had no rhythm at all," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her great strength - and a priceless quality in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from that point the batsman was on her way.

"A chance to play and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was out her side needed 66 more at one run per ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.
