In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
